These are cover designs for a penguin series called great loves. Unlike other penguin books, very little space is dedicated to the author or the title of the novel. Instead the near maximum space of the cover is given to the illustration.
In the is case the series seems to be in favour of flowers and all things natural, objects which have always had connotations of love and romance (and of course female genitalia).
I will consider the size of the illustration when it comes to deciding on the best format for the series and how this also effects how the books work together in a box set.
