This is the planet Arrakis. The novel is based around this sandy planet which is also inspiration for the name of the novel itself. The planet is valuable to the different dynasty's in the book who are fighting over it because of its valuable fuel which enables travel to any part of the universe instantaneously.
This drawing depicts the large sand-worms that are native to the planet Arrakis. These are used by the native tribes people as forms of transport and for use in times of war.
This drawing shows the house of atreides which plays a key role in the fight for the claim of the planet it is situated on.
