This idea came to me whilst playing a game called deus ex human revolution. In the game you play as character who has been heavilly augmented against his will. His eyes are also fake.
In this book the main protagonist gets injected with a mycotoxin which affects his nervous system and stops his ability to his retina computer screen. This was his punishment for hacking.

These illustrations show a robotic or synthetic eye. This is relevent to the book and is also quite an engaging image.
I am pleased with the outcome and think that the cover is one of the best so far. It will also be exciting when it comes to designing the type counterpart next.
