These pieces of typography are great to look at. For me its the technical aspect that I am attracted to. I think that a similar style to this would also work well with some of the information graphics that I have proposed to do.
The type is very hard, if not impossible to read but this does not necessarily make it inappropriate for use on a publication. Especially if the publication was an info-graphic that was not directly readable, but thats purpose was to provide an insight into a bigger picture.
A purely aesthetically driven typeface. Why not?
