These shots show some experimentation that I have done with the layout of the type and also the composition of the planet Arrakis, the main setting of the book.
I am very pleased with the illustration of the planet and think that works very well as the main focal point of the cover for the book. It encompasses the main story line well and also creates a sense of wonder and mystery as to what is on the surface.
I am at a point now where I need to make a decision as to which book publisher the book set will be produced by. I need to decide this because the layout of the type on the book will ultimately change according to the publishers layout style.
