Product / Range / Distribution / Target Audience / Design Direction

Why The Re-brand

Jack Spratt is an independent establishment that has been running for over 10 year. It is situated in the middle of a west country town called Devizes.

It is a versatile establishment and acts as a sandwich shop, delicatessen, cafe and bar. Although the establishment has been running for a decade it has recently moved into the new location to expand and accommodate fro more business. This gave me the idea to try and tie in all the parts of the business together to create one strong brand image.

Proposed products

The business would benefit from a number of design changes and additions including:
  • Logo
  • Stationary Set
  • Signage
  • Menus
  • various packaging for products

Target Audience

As the target audience changes depending on the time of the day it is important that and identity is created that fits all the criteria. The cafe is rustic and traditional and I would like to emphasise these qualities with a touch of class.

I will not be trying to change the target audience wit the re-brand, but simply try to achieve a greater sense of identity. With this will come customers and profit.

Design Direction

I will be trying to maintain the atmosphere already created by the establishment. It is a cool, traditional and rustic place with a very strong continental aura. Perfect for a fairly decorative Art Deco style.

I will be concentrating on design styles from the continent especially france.
