These designs show how the book would look using a a fairly old style penguin book cover format. The white lines separate portions of the page evenly and cleanly. I think this works well with the type and the strong contrast between the black and the white.
The white lines however my look out of place when I add the illustrated sand version of the type because of the random and loose texture.
