Some ideas ive had for the visualisation of the budget and revenue data for the top 10 movies.
This idea was a simple bar chart orientated visual that would compare and contrast the amount of money earnt and spent for each film in the top 100 films
I released quickly that this was not possible to do as the money earned by a film today can reach the billions where as a film released in the 30's would only make a fraction.
This idea meant finding the square root of all the films revenue and presenting them in the form of blocks.
after painstakingly creating all these blocks i discovered that the information looked boring. There was a steady rise but nothing that was too dramatic which is what I as after.
The data needs to be re arranged to see if something interesting and contrasting can be created.
